Kitchen

There is always a lot of work in the kitchen — cooking is a very important thing.

When creating the Domik, we decided to maximize the socialization and integration of children into society, so that the day of each foster-child would be like the day of an ordinary child in the family.

Independence is something that every child aspires to from an early age. “I’ll do it myself!” the kid declares, showing character and defending the right to be himself.

Unfortunately, our special children did not have such an opportunity in their early childhood. They were considered untrained and were forced to spend all their time in an enclosed space. But now they are making up for lost time with pleasure and interest, actively involved in all the daily activities in the House.

One of the children’s favorite activities is cooking. At the same time, our adults are always there, helping and supporting, but they do not do for the students what they are able to cope with on their own. This gives the residents of the Domik the opportunity, by performing simple actions, to learn something new, acquire self-service skills and become more independent every day.

For example, our boys really like to put cooked food on plates and serve it on the table!
