At that time I could not speak at all. I only cried, shouted loudly, bit my hands and did my best to explain everyone why I was feeling so bad.
I was 8 years old, when I moved to The Domik in 2016. At that time I could not speak at all. I only cried, shouted loudly, bit my hands and did my best to explain everyone why I was feeling so bad. As simple as that, in fact, I could not stay alone in a room, even in such a wonderful and carefully furnished one.
I’ve been staying at The Domik not for long, but during this time I managed to get rid of some fears, I learnt a lot. That, for example, blowing hair dry is not a disaster, but a lot of fun and pleasure. Toys can be shared, but not single-handedly carried around.
There is no need to shout or demand something beautiful, because now I have a closet full, I have favorite handbags and shoes.
Of course, there’s still some things I’m afraid of: loud noises and doctors. But I hope that soon I will be able to overcome those difficulties, because the teachers say that I have grown up and matured!
Despite some limitations in movement, I learned to ride a scooter and even a bicycle surprisingly quickly. I always giggle and break the peace sometimes.
I love going to school! During the holidays I ask every morning: “When am I going to school!” I enjoy taking part in school trips and excursions.
I also attend floristics classes. I am fond of ceramics. I go to a special workshop, where I sculpt all sorts of little things. I take part in stage performances and love PT lessons.
Now I love to enrich my vocabulary, I start speaking in whole phrases. I was a little shy to talk before, but now I can easily communicate even with people I don’t know. So, if you happen to be in The Domik and a pretty girl will start a small talk about weather or your well-being, make no doubts — it’s me!
